Mentor Capital, Inc. Speaks on Cancer Investment with Long
Island Investment Banking Group
(For Immediate Release SEPTEMBER 30, 2009)
SAN DIEGO, Mentor Capital, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MNTR) CEO, Chet Billingsley, presented an
update of Mentor Capital's rapid progress in advancing its cancer immunotherapy efforts before the Long Island Investment Banking Group. The gathered investment bankers and brokers represented approximately $2
Billion in Assets Under Management and are a major conduit for emerging companies to access the brokerage
community.
Mr. Billingsley highlighted the sea change in cancer
treatment coming from the immunotherapy sector, which was validated by Dendreon's (DNDN) positive FDA announcement and 1,000% stock rise in March
2009. Both Dendreon, for prostate cancer, and Mentor Capital, for
breast cancer, use the same dendritic immunotherapy approach, only
with different target cancer surface proteins. In cancer
immunotherapy, instead of chemotherapy, surgeries and radiation, the body’s own immune system is triggered to attack cancer cells. Patients report only flu-like symptoms as their now activated natural defenses
attempt to eradicate or stabilize the targeted cancers.
Both Dendreon and Mentor Capital are prominent in
the Cancer Immunotherapy Index. The CI Index is projected to experience an 1100% growth if the total sector projected value
keeps pace with the projected sector revenue.
Mentor Capital is a major investor in the Florida
based private company, Quantum Immunologics, now in Phase I/II FDA trials for their breast cancer immunotherapy
treatment. Additional information on Mentor Capital, and Quantum
Immunologics may be referenced at the company website: www.MentorCapital.com.
